Privately Guided Visit to the Rio Botanical Garden
Privately Guided Visit to Sugarloaf Mountain and the Rio Botanical Garden
You will be met by your private guide at your hotel and you'll depart for Sugarloaf, one of the most iconic viewpoints in Rio.
You'll take a series of two cable cars which take you up the mountain, high above the city.
Once on the top, spend some time walking around and taking in the panoramic views of Rio and neighboring islands in the Atlantic.
When you're ready you'll head back down and continue your tour.
Later you'll make a visit to the Rio Botanical Garden, located near the base of Corcovado.
Stroll through the garden (which covers over 350 acres) with your guide, learning about the incredible variety of plants and trees that surround you.
The garden has over 6,000 different species of tropical and subtropical plants and trees, including about 900 varieties of palm trees.
There is also a variety of wildlife in the garden, particularly birds, and Toucans can frequently be spotted in the treetops.
The garden also affords several views of the Christ the Redeemer Statue up above on top of Corcovado.
After your excursion you'll be taken back to your hotel and dropped off.
This excursion lasts around 4 hours, door to door.
Note: Normally this excursion is done in the morning, allowing you a free afternoon for lunch and beach time, however, the garden opens at noon on Mondays. If this falls on a Monday given your travel dates, you'll have this excursion in the afternoon instead.
