Private Corcovado and Downtown Rio Tour

Today you'll get an in-depth overview of this unique and bustling city with your private local guide.

  •   You'll be met at your hotel in the morning by your private guide and will head to the base of Corcovado Mountain by car, passing by Rio's beaches and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon on the way.
  •  Reaching the Cosme Velho district, you'll will take a unique Swiss cogwheel train that climbs the mountain from its base to nearly the summit.
  •   The very top is reached by climbing a flight of stairs to arrive at the iconic Christ the Redeemer Stature.
  •  The view, from this vantage point, with the surrounding Tijuca National Forest spreading below and a circle of mountains closing the horizon at the very back of the Guanabara bay is truly spectacular.
  •  After some time to walk around and take photos, you'll make your way back down and will then begin making your way back toward the beaches and your hotel, passing several points of interest along the way, including downtown, the Selaron Steps and Copacabana Beach.
  •  This is a half day tour lasting about 4 hours, door to door.

  •   In the morning you'll be met by your private guide and will depart for your excursion up Sugarloaf Mountain.
  •  A series of two cable cars will take you to the top of Sugar Loaf. At the top, again some of the most breathtaking views of Rio, this time from a different vantage point than at Corcovado.
  •  Later you'll make your way to the Rio Botanical Garden.
  •  The garden has over 6,000 different species of tropical and subtropical plants and trees, including about 900 varieties of palm trees.
  •  There is also a variety of wildlife in the garden, particularly birds, and Toucans can frequently be spotted in the treetops.
  •  This is a half day tour lasting about 4-5 hours, door to door.

  •  We will board a glass elevator, which takes us to a platform where more gorgeous views will be revealed.
  •  Along with its “sister” park in Argentina, Iguassu National Park forms the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone of South America, which along with the waterfalls have been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Private Argentina Side of Iguazu Tour

A day for exploration on the larger, Argentine side of Iguazu National Park.

  •   Your private guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning and you'll head across the border to Argentina (the Brazilian side has fewer trails, walkways and viewpoints than Argentina, so much more time should generally be dedicated to the Argentine side).
  •  Once in the Argentine national park, you'll take an electric train for a visit through the park with 2 stops until you reach the massive "Devil's Throat", the largest of the waterfalls.
  •  You'll return by train to visit the upper Argentinean falls, where you'll have a nice panoramic view.
  •  In the afternoon you'll continue to the lower circuit of the falls for.
  •  Note that if you prefer to walk more trails (like the excellent Macuco trail), this is also an option today - just let your guide know and more walking/trekking can be included.
  •  This is a full day tour lasting about 8 hours, door to door.
