Day 1
Welcome to Buenos Aires

You've arrived - welcome! After clearing immigration and customs and retrieving your luggage your adventure will begin. Our local partner has been expecting you and will be eager to greet you on arrival.

  •  International arrival.  You'll be met and welcomed by your private guide.
  •   Private transfer to your hotel. The trip from the international airport (EZE) is about a 45 minutes, and around 15 from the domestic airport (AEP).
    • Depending on your flight schedule you may have some free time to explore near the hotel.

    Day 2
    Private Buenos Aires City Tour

    Today is an opportunity to get to know iconic Buenos Aires with an in-depth and privately guided experience. You'll visit the principal and many off-the-beaten path sights around this bustling metropolis on foot and with vehicle transportation included. Visits can be customized so if you have any specific interests be sure to let us know!

  •  Your private guide will meet you at your hotel today and you'll embark on a customized tour of the city with a true Buenos Aires expert.
  •  Explore the trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood with its many restaurants and boutique shops.
  •  Get to know posh Recoleta where you'll have the chance to view the city's famous cemetery where many dignitaries lie, including Eva Peron.
  •  Continue to downtown where you can see the Casa Rosada and Obelisco.
  •  Have a walk through Bohemian San Telmo to see interesting shops, cafes and plazas.
  •  Later you'll drive to the iconic La Boca neighborhood for a chance to see the colorful local flair of one of Buenos Aires' most famous areas.
  •  In the early afternoon you'll return to your hotel and will have the balance of the day free.
  •  This is a half day tour lasting about 3-4 hours, door to door.

    Additional Exploration on Own

    Today you have the day free for exploration on your own. If you prefer to have a guided activity today, that can also be easily arranged. Some fantastic activities include:

  •  Walking and vehicle-based touring in Buenos Aires.
  •  Bicycle tours in the city.
  •  A visit to an estancia in the Argentine Pampas with horseback riding or other activities.
  •  An excursion to Tigre and the delta with a boat ride or kayaking.

    Day 4
    Travel to Bariloche

    Today you will travel from Iguazu in the north to Bariloche where you'll begin your exploration of the iconic Argentine South.

  •  Private transfer to the airport.
  •  Domestic Flight from Iguazu to Buenos Aires.
  •  Domestic Flight from Buenos Aires to Bariloche.
  •  Private transfer to your hotel.
    • Free time to relax upon arrival. Depending on your flight schedule you may have some free time to explore near the hotel.

    Day 5
    Private Bariloche Circuito Chico Excursion

    Today you'll do one of the best excursions in the region. The Circuito Chico (or Small Circuit) offers opportunities for some light hiking, a variety of scenery and some of the best views in Bariloche.

  •   This excursion goes along the most classic circuit of San Carlos de Bariloche in a more unique and well thought-out way.
  •  Your private guide will explain how this little mountain village has become one of the most attractive cities in Patagonia and the National Capital of Adventure Tourism.
  •  While visiting the most important viewpoints of the area like Campanario Hill and Llao-Llao Peninsula you will enjoy amazing views of Lakes Moreno and Nahuel Huapi and the mountains Capilla and Lopez.
  •  You will do a nature oriented walk through an impressive native forest on the Llao-Llao Nature Park..
  •  Optional hiking is also possible at Cerro Lopez for additional activity and views of Brazo Tristeza.
  •  At the end you will visit a local Micro Brewery for craft beer sampling and Lunch.
  •  This is a half day tour lasting about 3-4 hours, door to door.
    • After your excursion you'll be dropped off at your hotel and will have the balance of the day free.

    Boat Ride Excursion on Brazo Tristeza

    Explore one of Bariloche's hidden gems on the Tristeza arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi with optional hiking.

  •   In the morning you'll be met at your hotel and taken to the dock near Llao Llao to board the vessel.
  •  This excursion goes along the Brazo Tristeza, the most remote branch of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
  •  The boat sails along this impressive sound with beautiful mountains and waterfalls.
  •  Once you reach the end of the lake, you will start a light hike in the forest among trees like coihues and alerces..
  •  The trail climbs up to the Frey River, where a group of waterfalls can be seen.
  •  On the way back, you will enjoy lunch on board the vessel.
  •  Upon return to the dock you will be taken back to your hotel for the evening.
  •  This is a full day tour lasting about 8 hours, door to door.

    Day 7
    Travel to El Calafate

    Today you will continue your journey south to El Calafate. Located on the edge of Los Glaciares National Park and the Patagonian Ice Field, the El Calafate area is home to some of South America's largest glaciers.

  •  Private transfer to the airport.
  •  Domestic Flight from Bariloche to El Calafate.
  •  Private transfer to your hotel.
    • Depending on your flight schedule you may have some free time to explore near the hotel.

    Day 8
    Excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier

    Today is an opportunity to visit one of South America's most famous glaciers.

  •   In the morning you'll be picked up at your hotel and be driven out to the starting point (about 30 minutes if staying in town - shorter if staying at Eolo or an estancia) for this excursion.
  •  The excursion begins at the pier located in “Bajo de las Sombras” port, about 6 km before the glacier viewing terraces.
  •  You'll have about a 45 minute boat ride around the Rico Arm of the lake, enjoying breathtaking views of the Perito Moreno glacier’s front wall.
  •  After the boat ride, you'll visit the viewing terraces with your private guide and will find a nice spot to enjoy your boxed lunch.
  •  More time in the afternoon for additional photos and opportunities to see the glacier calvings.
  •  In the late afternoon you'll return to your hotel.
  •  This is a full day tour lasting about 8 hours, door to door.
    • In general we set this tour up with private transportation and guiding at the viewing terraces (boat ride is always shared with other travelers), but it can be set up as a full-shared tour as well depending on group size and preferences.

    "Mini-trekking" and "Big Ice" can be set up in lieu of the standard visit for more active travelers, although both have strict age limits. Please let us know if you're interested in either.

    Day 9
    Excursion to Estancia Cristina

    Today you will visit the remote and historic Estancia Cristina. Estancia Cristina is a former working sheep ranch only reachable by boat from El Calafate. The property has exclusive views of the Upsala Glacier and also offers a selection of great activities, including:

  •  "Discovery": An introduction to the Estancia and its history (visit the on-site museum) and lunch at the main restaurant followed by a 4X4 drive across the property out to the viewpoint for the Upsala Glacier (this viewpoint is only accessible from the estancia).
  •  "Cañadon de Fosiles": A 4X4 ride to the Upsala viewpoint, followed by a unique hike across the property through the "Fossil Canyon".
  •  Horseback riding on the estancia's grounds.

    • We will discuss the different options with you in detail to help you decide which is the best fit for you.

  •   In the morning you will be met at your hotel for transport to Punta Bandera where the catamarans to Estancia Cristina will be waiting.
  •  You'll travel around 1h 30m across Lago Argentino, with chances to see a number of icebergs and mountains in the distance, eventually arriving at the remote Estancia Cristina (only reachable by these boats).
  •  Once at Estancia Cristina, you will separate into small groups based on the activity that you've chosen for today.
  •  After completion of your excursion you will board the boat back to Punta Bandera.
  •  On arrival you'll be transported back to El Calafate and your hotel or lodge for the night.
  •  This is a full day tour lasting about 9-10 hours, door to door.

    Day 10
    Travel to Buenos Aires | Depart for Home

    Today your adventure comes to an end and you'll begin your journey home.

  •  Private transfer to the airport.
  •  Domestic Flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires.
  •  Check in and board your flight home.
    • If you'd like to extend your trip there are a number of other destinations in Argentina and elsewhere that can be added. Just let us know!
