Overview
Located on the main island of Chiloé, the a large island just off the coast of Chile, Tierra Chiloé offers an in-depth glimpse into the unique lifestyle of "Chilotes" which is quite different from that of mainland residents, as well as the opportunity to explore a picturesque area that is still well off the beaten tourist path. Guests will enjoy an all-inclusive experience with daily guided activities on the main island, on water, and on other islands in the region. Each day includes meals at the lodge restaurant or while out exploring. Guests are treated to unique and sophisticated accommodations, with all rooms having sweeping sea views.
Experience
Below is how we generally recommend setting up stays at this property, but longer or shorter durations are also possible.
On arrival to the airport you will be met by lodge staff and will be transported to the lodge, about a 20 minute drive from Castro. It is also possible to transfer down from Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt which is around a 2.5 hour trip, including the ferry ride across the channel. On arrival you will be welcomed and briefed on your stay for the upcoming days. Depending on your flight schedule you may have some free time to explore near the hotel.
You will have the chance to choose from a wide range of activities in Chiloé. Your guides will recommend and discuss options with you the evening prior to each full day you spend at the lodge.
