Today you'll depart your hotel and will fly from Ambergris to Belize City where you'll connect with your flight home.
Fishing, Diving or Resort Activities
Today you can choose from a number of other great excursions in the area. The reef is famous for Bone Fishing, and some of the best dive sites (including the Blue Hole) are within boats' reach of Ambergris Caye. For those looking to stay local, the resorts offer a full array of amenities as well as bicycles that you can take out to explore the local area.
Snorkeling on the Barrier Reef
Today is a perfect opportunity to enjoy snorkeling in one of the Caribbean's most famous areas for snorkeling and diving. Tours last around 2 hours (half day) or 6 hours (full day) and all include multiple stops, as well as an expert guide and snorkeling gear.
Travel to Ambergris Caye
Today you'll be met at your hotel and transported to the airport for your flight to Ambergris Caye (a short 45 minute flight). On arrival you'll be met and transferred to your island resort and will have the balance of the day free to settle in.
Biking in Placencia or Adventure Activities
For those looking for more adventure, choose from zip lining, river tubing and waterfall tours in the area, most of which are full day activities. If you'd like to take it a bit more easy today, enjoy complimentary beach cruisers and head into town to check out the area, see shops, etc.
Half Day Snorkeling Excursion
Depart this morning by boat on a 3 hour snorkeling excursion to one of the islands (cayes) in the Barrier Reef. Swim with turtles and nurse sharks and see a myriad of colorful reef fish. You'll return to the hotel for lunch and will have the remainder of the day free to relax and enjoy the resort grounds.
Travel to the Southern Coast
Today you'll be transported from your lodge to the Southern Coast of Belize and the coastal town of Placencia. On arrival you'll be welcomed to your beach hotel and will have the rest of the day to relax and do some exploring or hang out on the beach.
Visit the Tikal Ruins
Today your guide and driver will take you on the journey across the border to Guatemala and Tikal National Park to visit the Tikal Ruins, the sprawling former capital of the Mayan Empire. Explore the area while your expert guide makes the history of this iconic site come to life.
Caving Excursion
With your guide, explore one of the unique and ancient caves near your lodge, learning about a fascinating aspect of the Mayan underworld with the chance to swim or canoe as well. Options include the famous Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave, Barton Creek Cave and Caves Branch. A day filled with learning and adventure!
Arrival and Welcome
On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Cayo District and your jungle lodge. On arrival the lodge staff will welcome you and brief you on your stay over the coming days.
