Visit Volcanoes National Park

Home to one of the world's most active volcanoes, experience some of nature's most awe-inspiring wonders at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Located 45 miles southwest of Hilo, the park is home to two volcanoes including Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes on earth.

Canoeing by day, Manta Rays by Night

Go out with a resort guide today on an outrigger canoe to explore more of the local area. Later, as the sun sinks down along the Kona Coast, snorkel through crystal clear waters as manta rays perform an underwater ballet. You'll be mesmerized by these gentle giants (mantas don't have stingers) as they glide gracefully by to feed on microscopic plankton in the illuminated waters.

Hiking Excursion

The resort offers a number of excellent hiking excursions daily including a nearby petroglyph hike that explores the largest petroglyph field on Hawaii Island. It's the largest concentration of petroglyphs in the Pacific, located within the 233-acre Puako Petroglyph Archeological District.

Pauoa Beach Activities

Enjoy the beautiful, secluded Pauoa Beach at the resort. Resort guests can use snorkeling equipment, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and kayaks for the duration of their stay for a one-time fee.

Arrival and Welcome

You'll be met at the Kona Airport and transported north to your resort in the Mauna Lani region on the Kohala Coast (about a 30m drive). On arrival you'll be welcomed and briefed on your stay for the upcoming days. Relax and settle in!
