There are fancier options available for those desiring something more luxurious, but Hilton checks all the boxes for a comfortable, top-level stay in Peru's capital city.
El Calafate (Town)
Located just outside of downtown El Calafate, right along the lakefront, Xelena is a fantastic option for a full-service, high end Patagonia hotel to serve as a base for exploration in the area. The hotel offers a full range of amenities including a lovely indoor pool and restaurant, all with sweeping views of Lago Argentino. Many excellent restaurants in town are reachable via a short taxi ride, and walking along the lakeside boardwalk is a nice option for free afternoons and evenings.
